    She started her career as a programmer in Texas Transportation Institute in Texas A&M University, and thereafter as a software engineer in OAO Corporation working on air traffic control system. She later joined the Computer Center in Hsinchu Science Park Administration, and in 1998, she was transferred to the Investment Service Division as research associate in charging of International Affairs till now.

    Dr. Janekrishna Kanatharana graduated from Chulalongkorn University with a bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering and received his master's degree and Ph. D. in Civil Engineering from LehighUniversity, Pennsylvania, USA.

    Professional Background

    Dr. Kanatharana started his professional life in 1989 by working as an engineer at an engineering consulting frm, and in 1990, he took an assistant researcher position at the National Science Foundation Research Center for Advanced Technology for Large Structural Systems, while pursuing his graduate study at Lehigh University, USA.
    in 1996 graduating from the university, Chuchawal-de Weger International Co., Ltd.,
    He later joined Wonderworld Products Co., Ltd. in 1998 overseeing factory operations until 2003.
    In 2004, the National Science and Technology Development Agency (NSTDA) as the Director of Thailand Science Park. Since then, he has involved with all the science park development initiatives in Thailand as well as with the set up of the Thai Business Incubators& Science Parks Association (Thai-BISPA) and the so-called "Science Park Promotion Agency" under the Ministry of Science and Technology of Thailand.
    In 2010, elected Asia-Pacifc Division President of the International Association of Science Parks (IASP)

    Aravazhi Selvaraj

    Current position

    Mr. Aravazhi Selvaraj is the Chief Operating Officer (COO)- Innovation and Partnership (INP) program under the aegis of Agribusiness and Innovation
    Platform of the International Crops Research Institute for the Semi-Arid Tropics (ICRISAT).

    Education

    He is a post graduate in Business Management from Tamil Nadu Agricultural University (TNAU), Coimbatore with specialization in agribusiness. He has done his Bachelor of Science (Agriculture) from Annamalai University-Chidambaram.

    Professional Background

    In the Incubation industry he is working in the areas of client servicing, project/program planning & management, business services, Innovation funding, impact assessment study.
    He has experience in incubating innovative agricultural technologies that has high impact on the farming community. He has liaised with the companies on technology transfer and helped them in the business incubation front. He has been coordinating the program of Technology Development Board of Department of Science and Technology (DST), Govt. of India to provide funding to innovative ventures in agri-business. He is also coordinating the incubation scheme for innovative ventures supported by the Ministry of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSME), Govt. of India at ICRISAT. Besides he has experience in funds raising through Venture Capitalist in India for agri-business ventures.
    He has been instrumental in developing ICRISAT's public-private partnership (PPP) inititaives under the Agribusiness and Innovation Platform (AIP).

    ○Agri-Business Incubation (ABI) Program was established in partnership with the Department of Science and Technology (DST), Government of India, to promote technologies that have been developed either exclusively by ICRISAT, or jointly with collaborators; or even other agritechnologies developed by R&D centers of excellence, universities and other institutions through entrepreneurship models.

    ○Innovation and Partnership (INP) Program initiates public-private partnerships through collaborative research-cum-development agreements with ICRISAT scientists in the areas of plant breeding, agricultural biotechnology, natural resource management, knowledge sharing, training and value chain development that support the empowerment of the SAT farmers.

    ○NutriPlus Knowledge (NPK) Program was conceived as a platform that works towards new product development, technology commercialization, trainings & capacity building and R&D for the Industrial applications in the areas of high value foods and products.

    Over twenty publications to his credit at the international and national levels and has travelled to more than 30 countries across the world to develop partnerships and project implementation.

    Professional Background

    Allen was appointed CEO of Hong Kong Science and Technology Parks Corporation (HKSTP) in July 2013. In this role, he leads and manages Hong Kong Science Park, InnoCentre and three Industrial Estates that are entities within HKSTP, reinventing the Corporation from a facility-focused institution to a support-based provider of value-added services covering R&D, design and advanced manufacturing along the value chain.
    Allen believes innovation and technology plays a key role in fuelling Hong Kong's economic transformation. He is committed to fostering connection and collaborations among stakeholders to enhance the competitiveness of Hong Kong and building stronger collaboration with Mainland China.
    Over the past 30 years, Allen has held senior executive positions with a number of multinational corporations primarily in the information and communications technology sector. In his most recent role, Allen worked for British Telecom Plc as President, Asia Pac where he led the team to rebuild BT's presence in the region. Prior to that, Allen worked for Motorola Inc. and C&W Hong Kong Telecom across different business units, from multimedia, to mobile and fixed network services.
    Allen is a fellow member of both the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants, UK and the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants, UK.
    He is also a Certified Management Accountant of Canada.

    Former Position

    the former Saudi Cultural Attaché to Japan
    He won the Japanese Foreign Minister prize among foreign diplomats in Japan in 2015 and 2011. It was the first time for a foreign diplomat in Japan to win this prize twice.

    Education

    In 2002, he graduated from Waseda University in industrial and system management engineering. In 2005, he gained his master degree from the same university and at the same field. In 2008, he gained his PhD from Waseda University as well, majoring in International Studies specifically in the field of technology and innovation management.

    Professional Background

    In 2008, he established the Saudi Cultural Office at the Royal Embassy of Saudi Arabia in Tokyo and took the responsibility of Managing 30 multinational employees for seven years. In addition to the academic supervisory of more than 600 Saudi students in Japanese universities and institutions, he succeeded in building partnerships with Japanese firms in order to facilitate the recruitment and training of Saudi students in companies such as Panasonic, Isuzu, Hitachi and Others. Moreover, he promoted technology transfer and R&D cooperative projects between industry and academia in Saudi Arabia and Japan.
    Essam is as also a Designated Official Interpreter of Saudi Government and the Saudi Royal Family. He translated between Japanese and Arabic languages for His Majesty the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman Bin Abdul-Aziz, The late Crown Prince Sultan bin Abdul-Aziz and For more than seven Japanese Prime Ministers including H.E. Mr. Shinzo Abe and H.E. Mr. Taro Aso.
